Huge thanks to Hebden Bridge Film Festival for screening Birdwatching, and awarding it 'Highly Commended Short Film'. The festival was a great chance to see some brilliant films and meet great people, and I look forward to next year!
On Friday the 30th of November, my short film Birdwatching will be premiering at Exeter Phoenix's 'Two Short Nights' festival! This time last year, I pitched for the Exeter Phoenix Animation Commission, and now you can see all five commissioned shorts on the big screen!
Thanks so much to Devon and Cornwall Film for the chance to talk about Birdwatching - my short animated film commissioned by Exeter Phoenix! I've had an amazing time working on this paint on glass, collage and charcoal film, which will premiere at Two Short Nights film festival on the 30th November!
It was great to see this BBC Scotland article on 'Be Safe' - a collaboration between myself and poet Eleanor Capaldi commissioned by BBC's 'The Social'. Eleanor's beautiful poem explores the difficult issue of safety - the responsibility is so often placed on those in danger instead of those who make us unsafe.
I have been very lucky in receiving the Exeter Phoenix Animation Commission 2018, for my short film 'Birdwatching'. This will be animated over the next year, premiering at Two Short Nights Festival in November 2018. You can keep up to date with my work on this project HERE, and read more about the commissions HERE!
I've just finished the last project of my second year at Edinburgh College of Art - a short film about a lonely lady and her experiments with the occult. With music by talented composers Alessandro Russo and Cinzia Cossarini.
As part of my studies at ECA, I have started a new blog to document all of my student work, including sketches, storyboards, finished animations and life-drawings.
I began my degree in Animation in September 2015, and have so far had the opportunity to work on many exciting projects. There has been a great variety of different approaches and ideas, including technical excersises, experiments with emotion and body language, and collaborations with other students and different subject areas.

It was very exciting to see one of my short i-dent animations, 'Nostalgia', on the big screen! On the 2nd of April, selected entrants to the Rough Cut 90 second Film Challenge were screened at the Plaza Cinema in Truro. The films were varied, interesting and inspiring, and it was great to see what other local filmmakers had been creating.
Massive congratulations to the well-deserved winners!
Very excitingly, my music video for Eric & Magill has been included in a Huffington post article! It's great to see thier music reaching an even bigger audience, and I'm really grateful for all their encouragement and support!
